Lost in Tradition

In ‘Lost in Tradition’, Zafira Ahmed illustrates trying to find the balance between her South Asian and Western cultures through a series of self portraits and objects originating from Bangladeshi roots. Focusing primarily on the paan leaf and its impact on the daily lives of second class immigrants, ‘Lost in Tradition’ portrays the troubles many descendants of immigrants face when defining their identity.
